Let's be honest, we all love a bargain. The problem with bargain hunting when it comes to beauty products is that you often sacrifice quality and effectiveness when opting for cheaper brands- at least that's what I've found. Having said that, there are some great products out there that do not cost an arm and a leg and this is one of those products.
I swear by Benefit's They're Real. To me, it is pretty much the best mascara I have found (perhaps with the exception of the YSL Faux Cils, which is very expensive). On my lashes, They're Real does it all: volumises, lengthens, curls- everything. However, it also costs nearly £20 here in the UK, so I always find ways of getting it cheaper (using a discount code etc.)
When I heard about 2True's Volume mascara, I was dubious. It costs £3 and is available in Superdrug in the UK. I was prepared for it not to be any good, but at that price I thought I'd try it. Let's just say, after trying it a few times, I think it is amazing!
The brush is a soft plastic kind (which I prefer as it gives better separation). The formula works so well because it is not a thin, watery consistency, nor is it dry. It is quite thick, but not so much that you get clumps. I needed only 1-2 coats to get the effect in the image above.
I'm thrilled to have found this product and it just shows that drugstore/ high street products should never be overlooked.
